As we start week 2 of Prayer and Fasting my question to you is, "How's it going?" Are you finding breakthrough yet? Is God teaching you anything through the decluttering of you mind and heart? Is He teaching you Patience, Endurance, giving you understanding and knowledge through this time? What ever the Lord has for you, my encouragement is, It's On Its Way! Keep striving in Prayer and Fasting for More Vision for your future, More Love for everyone, and More Faith to see this thing through. You have it in you, let it come out in great Faith!.

What we are Praying for today is to "Overcome Temptation". Our verse to help us out in this area comes from the book of James.

"So humble yourselves before God. Resist

the devil, and he will flee from you."

James 4:7

If we want Freedom from the assaults of the Devil and his oppression, it's accomplished by submitting ourselves to God. The next verse (v.8) tells us to do this in full obedience to His Word and in complete dependence and trust. When we do this we bring ourselves in agreement with God's Word and Will, rejecting the lies of the Devil and accepting God's promises and evaluation of our situation. When we "Resist" we are standing against the strongholds the Devil wants to put on us, and we are renouncing his lies and forsaking our own mind-set toward sin. Because of this we are given the promise of God's Word that the Devil will run or flee from us. Remember this, there is no place of comfort for a demon in the presence of a Joyfully submitted believer who has determined to fully embrace the Lord Jesus and stand for His Word!

Jesus lets us know that if we hold on to this truth, the truth will set us free (John 8:32). Do you need freedom from the Devil's oppression and attacks today? As I said before, one way to humble yourself is to obey His Word, and in His Word there is a command that sums up the Christian walk. That command is to "Love Each Other" (John 15:17). There is a saying that says this; "If I want something I've never had, then I need to do something I've never done." I challenge you today to pray to overcome temptation, help in humbling yourself, and help to Love everyone! You can do this! Your Help is on its way!
