Seize The Moment

“For you have been called to live in freedom, my brothers and sisters. But don’t use your freedom to satisfy your sinful nature. Instead, use your freedom to serve one another in love.” ‭Galatians‬ ‭5:13

“And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.” Romans‬ ‭8:28

"Carpe Diem", which translates to "Seize The Day", is forever embedded into my mind from the movie "Dead Poets Society". Horace, the Roman Poet that coined the phrase, wrote this to mean "enjoy, seize, use" the day to make one's future better. There are Moments in our life that determine the directions we go. If you want an unlimited future, the first thing you need to know is God has given you purpose. God tells us in the book Jeremiah that He knew us before He formed us in the womb. He was speaking to Jeremiah at the time, but know, He was speaking to all of us as if to say "I know you, I love you, and I have given you a calling that I haven't given anyone else." Seize that Moment today to Live your Calling, to Follow Your Purpose! But don't use that Moment just for yourself. Instead, use that Moment to serve each other so that God's love can spread throughout this world. Follow Your Call! Live Your Call! Don't Waste Your Life! Seize The Moment!
